Family Volunteers

We always welcome parental help on trips - just keep an eye out for letters sent out where we regularly ask for volunteers. We try to give as much notice as possible of these visits but occasionally we are offered wonderful opportunities at short notice. We are incredibly grateful for parent support which enables these trips to take place.

We regularly ask for help with exciting projects at Brooklands; parent/carer volunteers are vital for making these possible! Some of these require support during the week, and some are weekend events where the whole community comes together. In line with our school value of Togetherness, we remind the children that we are stronger together and the community spirit and sense of belonging on these days is palpable. Local charities, neighbours, parents, grandparents, staff and children work together to make amazing things happen! Recent examples are our pond renovation day, Forest school tidy up, Allotment set up, shared reading mornings, and the team of parents and staff who look after our school chickens! Please keep an eye out for messages about any upcoming volunteer days.

If you are also interested in running an extra-curricular club after school from 15:30-16:30pm please let the school office know at info@bpsmat.org. 

If you have a few hours to spare and would like to become a volunteer on a more regular basis, we would love to have you join our team of volunteers. All volunteers need to complete a simple application form and have an enhanced DBS as part of our safeguarding procedures. These documents can be obtained from the school office. Once you have the appropriate documentation, we will work with you to see what times and days suit you and the types of activities we need support with.
